There is a sparkling choir

  1. This is so beautiful, Alison. From the first paragraph through the last lines of the poem – such pleasure to be found in reading your words! And as someone who didn’t see snow until I was 25 and then had one wondrous decade in snow country and then left it again (probably forever) to live once again on the edge of the Pacific coast–I’m not complaining, its beautiful here–but oh it’s nice to remember how much I love the snow! Thank you!

P.S. I love your blog and wait patiently for each new post.

  2. beautiful. this made me long for snow. i too love a good fresh snow, i love shoveling snow.

part of what is so fabulous about your writing is you show the beauty, pleasure, and enjoyment of the smallest parts of life. I love that. The small details you add in – mittens from your mother, the shovel in the truck… these also add so much to your writing…love.

  3. Nicole, thank you! The smallest things are the biggest things, is something I keep realizing over and over and over again. (I just sat on the couch with a cup of coffee thinking how perfectly happy I was to be doing just that.) XO
